Dear Donald,

I get the feeling that you don’t like the way the media is covering the story of your firing of FBI Director James B. Comey.

“As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!….” @realDonaldTrump 4:59 AM – 12 May 2017

“…Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future “press briefings” and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???” @realDonaldTrump 5:07 AM – 12 May 2017

You probably don’t want to hear this, but threatening to cancel White House briefings is not going to rectify the fact that you and your administration cannot keep a story straight.

First the story was that you acted based off of advice/recommendation. Then the story changed to be that you were thinking about this firing for months. It was expressed that this did not have anything to do with the investigation regarding the Russia controversy, only to have that story change and say that it did play a part in why you decided to make this decision on your own.

“In fact, when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story; it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won,”

Nobody can keep up with this constant flip flopping, and having written statements distributed won’t help if you have to rescind and revise it as many times as you decide to change the narrative. Perhaps you can’t even keep track of what it is you want the story to be and that is why the stories keep changing.

I think you were right about one tweet though.

“The Fake Media is working overtime today!” @realDonaldTrump 4:53 AM – 12 May 2017

The only thing is, I don’t think you were considering you and your administration to be the “Fake Media” you were referring to.
