After reading that you are looking to announce a new White House office to be run by your son-in-law, Jared Kushner. I can’t help but think that this is yet another way to distance yourself from any responsibility that comes with the Presidency.
Your plan is reportedly to create a sort of special task force to seemingly review and provide innovative business ideas to our outdated government policies. It would seem that you think that the government has reached a point of stagnation that has impeded its ability to run efficiently.
“All Americans, regardless of their political views, can recognize that government stagnation has hindered our ability to properly function, often creating widespread congestion and leading to cost overruns and delays,” …… “I promised the American people I would produce results, and apply my ‘ahead of schedule, under budget’ mentality to the government.”
I find this motion concerning. You might try to use more appealing language, but I see this as your attempt to overhaul government functions that have served as road blocks for the policies you have tried to implement.
Sure you are initially stating the focus of overhauling the Veteran’s Affairs, improving workforce development and targeting opioid addition, but I think that there is more to this than you are letting on as of now.
I’ll just wait and watch apprehensively, just to see how much authority this new government office will be given and what types of changes they will truly implement.
