Dear Donald,

As you know I’ve been writing you practically every day since February 8, 2017. Friday evening my email got bounced back. My email account tried to send the email through to both White House email accounts all weekend, but to no avail. Since day one, I have always sent my emails to the president@whitehouse.gov and cc’d comments@whitehouse.gov .

So after 88 letters, my 89th letter is the one that broke the camel’s back? Funny, I never once got a response back from you or your administration.

To be honest, I don’t even know why I’m writing this letter. I don’t even think it will get through to anyone.

I feel so dismissed. Is there even a purpose to keep these letters up? Do I just remain persistent and send from a new email address? At what point is persistence considered harassment. I don’t even know I should or shouldn’t do in this situation.

I mean, I didn’t really have high hopes that you were actually even reading them Donald, but I thought that maybe someone in your administration might. The slight hope was there, that maybe something I had to say might be interesting enough to get passed on to you. I knew it was a very small to zero chance of that, but the fact that I can’t even have the satisfaction of the emails being successfully delivered  is so disheartening.

I can’t escape your presence, but I bet it must be nice for you to be able to dismiss people you don’t want to hear from so easily.

Sincerely,
A Solicitous Citizen

Headlines: Russia Investigation > Syria Attack? – May 19, 2017

Dear Donald,

Now I know that you think that firing James B. Comey relieved this “great pressure” on you, but if anything, it only raised more questions and suspicions. The investigation is now looking into possible cover ups aided by White House officials.

Nonetheless,  these investigations and firings have nothing to do with the latest attacks on Syria. The coverage on this attack doesn’t seem to be making the same types of waves that the first one did. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the U.S. is claiming that these attacks are defensive.

The official focus was supposed to be on ISIS, but as we increase a presence in Syria I wonder if our focus is changing? As per usual, there is controversy on the whole matter. Some think this is the result of a power struggle to gain control of the south-eastern front of Syria. This would compromise an important supply line for Iran to keep their own presence in Syria.

According to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis “We are not increasing our role in the Syrian civil war, but we will defend our troops,”. Although, if we were, I think that would be kept under wraps.

Whatever the reasoning may be, I just hate to see the devastation and destruction left behind after attacks like this, and hope we don’t have another war to look forward to in our new future.

Sincerely,
A Solicitous Citizen

Special Counsel for a Special Investigation – May 18, 2018

Dear Donald,

I don’t understand why you are so opposed to the appointment of this special counsel to lead the Russian investigation.

“This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!”
@realDonaldTrump 4:52 AM – 18 May 2017

“With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special counsel appointed!”
@realDonaldTrump 7:07 AM – 18 May 2017

If you have nothing to hide, what does it matter if there is a thorough investigation to confirm this to the people who have doubts.

Robert Mueller served as FBI director for 12 years. He started this position during the Bush Administration and continued to hold that position through the Obama Administration’s tenure as well. As an individual well-liked by both the Republican AND Democratic party I think he is a great choice to take charge of this investigation and see it to its finish.

You’ll have to forgive us who can’t simply take you at your word that there was no “collusion with Russia”. You haven’t been the most reliable source of information, and we just want to get to the bottom of this situation once and for all.

Sincerely,
A Solicitous Citizen

Whispers Are Growing – May 17, 2017

Dear Donald,

You certainly aren’t wining any popularity contests these days. In fact, it seems that those swirling whispers of impeachment are gaining traction these days. Since your election some people have been wishing for your impeachment, but of course something has to justify an impeachment taking place.

I personally find it interesting that there are no formal rulings what constitutes as an impeachable offense. Of course there are obvious grounds for impeachment such as bribery, treason and major crimes etc. In addition to the obvious offenses it seems that the people ruled that ultimately the House and Senate were the deciding authorities on what impeachable offenses are.

Since an impeachment is only formal charging being brought against a government official, there is no assurance that should an impeachment occur, that anything would actually come of it. While it is a means for removal of federal officers, the process is not easy, and requires a majority vote.

Things are not looking so well for you either way. With each passing day, more and more people get the feeling that you simply do not know what you are doing, and believe that you are in over your head. That is a very terrifying thought with so many lives affected by your day to day decisions.

How Many Blows Can You Take Before You Crumble? – May 16, 2017

Dear Donald,

How are you and your administration holding up? Things honestly seem like they are falling apart. Day after day, it seems like you and your team are just trying to prepare yourself for the next blow. How many more hits before things really start to crumble?

White House officials feel like they are under siege. This type of instability is not sustainable. At what point does it get to be too much? Will you throw in the towel and step down?

With each new day, new stories come to light that only escalates the distrust and outrage. With stories such as your attempt to shut down the Flynn investigation, or how you shared classified information with Russian officials what story will be the final straw that breaks the camel’s back?

I think anyone working for you right now is probably worried about their job security. I’m sure the stress of all of the negative news hitting the headlines is really starting to take its toll. I’m sure people are starting to see that things can change quite drastically from day to day with you. It doesn’t seem to matter if you like someone or praise someone one day, the next day could be a completely different narrative and your reasoning could make little to no sense.

What is it going to take for you to see that your way is not working?

Sincerely,

When Will Enough Be Enough? – May 15, 2017

Dear Donald,

I saw two articles today about you that I found deeply disturbing. The first of these articles was talking about how gullible you are, and easily swayed you can be. It seems that Reince Priebus had to specifically ask that you not be given anything to read that is not fact based. The article paints you as a highly reactive and easily manipulated individual.

Tell me, how am I supposed to feel about this? How am I supposed to have faith in someone that seems as easy to sway as a toddler. The concern seems to be that anyone can have a direct influence on what happens on a day to day basis, based off of whatever information they slip to you. This is honestly very very scary.

In addition to that whole story, I also came across another article that implies that you don’t understand when to keep information classified. I get the feeling that you like to feel powerful, and being in the know is very intoxicating to you. I bet it feels really great when you can be the one to share information with others just to show them how much you know that they don’t know. Unfortunately, sometimes it isn’t in your, or our best interest to constantly parade how much you are privy to. If you spill all of the secrets and share the information, there is nothing you have that others don’t anymore.

At what point do you think you’ll get to a point that you might realize that you are not the best person to hold this position of power? I honestly feel like each and every day you hold this position, the country becomes more and more divided and weak. Something needs to change. When will you see that?

Sincerely,

“The Fake Media is Working Overtime Today” – May 12, 2017

Dear Donald,

I get the feeling that you don’t like the way the media is covering the story of your firing of FBI Director James B. Comey.

“As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!….” @realDonaldTrump 4:59 AM – 12 May 2017

“…Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future “press briefings” and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???” @realDonaldTrump 5:07 AM – 12 May 2017

You probably don’t want to hear this, but threatening to cancel White House briefings is not going to rectify the fact that you and your administration cannot keep a story straight.

First the story was that you acted based off of advice/recommendation. Then the story changed to be that you were thinking about this firing for months. It was expressed that this did not have anything to do with the investigation regarding the Russia controversy, only to have that story change and say that it did play a part in why you decided to make this decision on your own.

“In fact, when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story; it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won,”

Nobody can keep up with this constant flip flopping, and having written statements distributed won’t help if you have to rescind and revise it as many times as you decide to change the narrative. Perhaps you can’t even keep track of what it is you want the story to be and that is why the stories keep changing.

I think you were right about one tweet though.

“The Fake Media is working overtime today!” @realDonaldTrump 4:53 AM – 12 May 2017

The only thing is, I don’t think you were considering you and your administration to be the “Fake Media” you were referring to.

The Game of Lies, Secrets, and Discovery is Ongoing – May 11, 2017

Dear Donald,

You really don’t make it easy for those who are working so hard to try and keep a good image for you. The initial story for your firing of Comey was that you were doing it under the recommendations of your council, but now you are claiming you’ve been thinking about firing him “for months”

People seem to think that we may be watching you and your administration slowly come undone. I don’t understand  how you are going to get through four years, when you have come under such scrutiny in the first few months.

You keep stating that you are not under investigation, but to me it sounds like perhaps thou doth protest too much. Also, if you were the focus of an FBI investigation, I don’t think they would lay all of their cards out on the table for you to see. It would take away from the credibility of the information they are working to collect.

I would be highly curious to see if there is any information that could be collected from recordings taken in the White House for security purposes. Of course I suspect you and your administration would fight tooth and nail to keep anything like that from ever seeing the light of day.

As always, I’m just patiently waiting to see what else gets uncovered and how this all unfolds.

Sincerely,
A Solicitous Citizen

0 Days Since the Last Uproar – May 10, 2017

Dear Donald,

Have you ever wondered how many days you and your administration could go without making negative headlines in the news for doing something questionable? I’m thinking it would be a challenge to just hit double digits.

Of course the latest uproar is over your firing of FBI Director Comey. I couldn’t help but laugh when I read an article from The Washington Post that said that Sean Spicer LITERALLY hid from reporters in bushes to avoid having to try and explain your sudden firing of Comey.

Naturally many people find this abrupt firing rather suspiciously timed, seeing as the Russian investigation is really starting to heat up. A lot of people suspect that this has to do with you not being very happy with the way this investigation regarding Russian is unfolding, amongst other things such as his refusal to support your claims of wiretapping.

You of course deny these reasons, and give your reason as “He was not doing a good job,…..Very simply, he was not doing a good job.”. In addition to this statement, you wouldn’t be you if you didn’t have something to say via Twitter. “Dems have been complaining for months & months about Dir. Comey. Now that he has been fired they PRETEND to be aggrieved. Phony hypocrites!” @realDonaldTrump 12:23 PM – 10 May 2017

Personally I find your reason for his dismissal of “not doing a good job” hard to believe. You of course flip flop all, of the time. I guess it just depends on who is whispering in your ear. Or perhaps you’ll agree with just about anything, so long as the story makes you look good.

Tweets of Misdirection – May 9, 2017

Dear Donald,

I have a hard time trying to figure out what your goal is when you tweet. You often are not tweeting facts, and I wonder if you are the one misunderstanding the situation or if you are trying to mislead others.

Your tweets following the results of Sally Yates testimony are not entirely accurate.

“Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows- there is “no evidence” of collusion w/ Russia and Trump.” @realDonaldTrump 3:41 PM – 8 May 2017

Um, I’m sorry but that’s not actually what Clapper said. He said he had been unaware of the FBI investigation into the Russia ties, which sounds like he was admitting that he didn’t have the full story to make a definitive statement on the matter.

“Sally Yates made the fake media extremely unhappy today — she said nothing but old news!” @realDonaldTrump 3:43 PM – 8 May 2017

This is pretty funny, because we were all very interested to hear what exactly it was that was discussed at the meeting that we knew took place. While it may be old news to  your administration what was discussed, we were not privy to those conversations.

“The Russia-Trump collusion story is a total hoax, when will this taxpayer funded charade end?” @realDonaldTrump 3:43 PM – 8 May 2017

So just so we are clear, these investigations are happening to understand how, and to what extent Russia interfered with the election. Now whether or not you and your administration took part in this is another matter that should be uncovered as a result.

In addition, I do not think it is a “taxpayer-funded charade” to look into how a foreign power attempted to influence the outcome of our presidential election and prevent it from happening again.

It seems as if you are just aiming to discredit what took place and make a cry of fake news to dissuade people from putting any stock into what is being revealed in these hearings.

Why do you fight against the pursuit of truth and understanding so stubbornly. It only makes you seem less trustworthy in the end, you know that right?

Sincerely,
A Solicitous Citizen
